Grimm & Co in Yorkshire, England

There are wonderfully weird youth writing centers, and then there is THE wonderfully weird youth writing center. Grimm & Co is located in Yorkshire, England, and features probably the most gorgeously decorated and insanely strange setting for writing workshops in the world. Its founder, Deborah Bullivant, converted an old Victorian-era department store to this, an apothecary/creative center. Note that the array of toilet-themed chairs surrounding the pseudo-banquet table is actually a writing/classroom area. Those toilets are chairs (and are not fully functional in the way you are thinking). This is what can happen when you untether your mind to any preconceived notions of what a learning center can and should look like.
